A Comment About Class

Hello class!

I felt as though class went really well on Friday. I really enjoyed watching the videos on advertising. I can't believe how hard advertisers work to get us to buy their products! Some of the video even seemed humorous at times, but obviously some of advertising stuff is working! The only ad that I really didn't like was "Song." The main reason why I didn't really like that ad was because I had no idea what was being advertised. I was thinking that it was some sort of music software or computer program. Unfortunately, I never thought that the ads were for an airline until I was told.

During class, we had the opportunity to discuss the books that we read, which went along with chapter 2. Also, we worked in groups and created a couple lists of interview and survey questions. We also discussed the issue in Taking Sides, which was timed. Some of the class agreed with the issue but others disagreed or had mixed feelings. We wrapped up the class by turning in our group work and our papers.

It was really weird not having you in class!
