Media now!

Media today has a way of getting people to buy or respond to the things that are broadcasted and advertised. I paid attention to media before, but not nearly as much as I do now. I guess now as an adult the media has more of an impact on my life and how I live it. I work with children and I'm going into teaching, so my view is a little bit more strict than some one who may not be around children. The cartoons, the clothing, the language you name it, is not censored enough because it still influences are youth. A perfect example is, alcohol comercials; they show people having fun and at the bottom of the screen in captions( Drink responsibly). However, I think media does not show the negative side of things enough. For every positive there is a negative and I think it is about time to start showing these negatives. The reason that this needs to happen is because there are more youths dying because of alcohol related deaths than any other cause. Media does make an impact on people both negative and positive, but media needs to step it up and put more emphasize on the consequences of these things.
